Pinta Miami

Client Overview

Pinta Miami is a decade old internationally renowned art fair, focusing on Ibero-American art with a global outreach.

It  is one of the main references of Latin American Art for collectors, professionals, museums, and Institutions alike.

Challenge

PINTA Miami was relocating from a temporary structure in Midtown Miami to the Mana Convention Center in Wynwood. The fair founder and director wanted an expert art fair consultant to facilitate the transition and oversee the show operations.

How we tackled it

The fair was going into a new direction which required a process put in place to streamline operations.

  • We performed a thorough assessment and established procedures to reduce overall costs and increase profitability.
  • We negotiated contracts and carefully selected some of the top suppliers in the field to improve services to our exhibitors, from wall and furniture rentals to electrical and food concessions.
  • We coordinated all aspects of production to make sure we were running according to schedule. We assisted with the floor plan design to create an enjoyable and safe experience for fair goers and patrons.
  • We worked diligently with sponsors exceeding their expectations. We ensured their booth and VIP lounge were top-notch, provided maximum exposure and were aligned with their branding. We coordinated on site private functions for their VIP’s.
  • We recruited, trained, and supervised staff to deliver superior customer service to the general public and exhibiting galleries and vendors.
  • We partnered with the venue from the very beginning and established a strong relationship over time.
  • We also involved the community as this was the first time an art fair was being hosted in their neighborhood.

Outcome

The fair received extensive media coverage and attracted over 20,000 visitors, a sharp increase from the previous year. It translated into hundreds of thousands of dollars in artwork sales, resulting in galleries signing up for the following year. Sponsors reported increased ROX and extended their involvement with the fair. The venue also greatly benefited from the publicity and Mana Wynwood became the new permanent home of PINTA during Miami Art Week.

Our organization hired Barbara Edwards’ services in various capacities for our art shows. She is a talented event planner, with great organizational skills and problem-solving abilities. Barbara’s overall efficiency and multi-language fluency proved to be invaluable.

She is truly knowledgeable in art fair management and I intend to continue to utilize her services for as long as we are able. I can only recommend Edwards Management Group with the highest praise.
